(Racism alive in South Africa) major issue
Posted in Uncategorized on April 30, 2008 by tiffanty
Racism- hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. Earlier this month, the owner of a South African tourist resort refused to allow a film crew to shoot on his property because of a “whites only” policy. This this incident acknowledges the fact that rasim is still an major issuein todays society. This came shortly after a racist video made by students at the Free State University and the alleged killing of four black people in an informal settlement by an 18 year old white man. Albertus Pretorious, who owns the Broedestroom Vakansie-Oord resort in North West Province, stood by his whites-only admission policy. Showing that he is not reluctant towards the sitaution and is a follower of the racist regime. He was fined then for evicting a white family who had brought two black children along with them to the resort. Mr Pretorious was defiant when a local newspaper enquired whether the whites-only policy was still in operation.

My group had to do a brief presentation over our project that we created . Each group member had to present a topic out of the project to discuss. Then they gave out scholarships to students that were going to college. I enjoyed the fact of being a leader in my group and working with others to get the job done.
Obama and Hilary

These are the two candidates for president, and announcements and the media have revealed that Hilary has won the state Pennsylvania . The two pesons are known to be rivals at a war that effects everyone if the outcome is good or bad. Soon their will be achoice to decide wheter barack or Hilary will become democratic candidate for the 2008 election. ”She plays to her strengths with blue-collar workers and women, but the margin of victory remains influx”. Is this true?….Is Hilary really for the hard working citizens and women or is Obama for the ending of the war. No one can predict the furutre, but AMERICA as one should be sure that we pick the right person to contribute good leadership for the U.S.
Lettme Put you on “THE gAME”

The Game, a.k.a Jayceon Taylor, is from the birthplace of Gangsta’ Rap, Compton, CA. But this is a new Westside story, one that joins with the Eastside and pays respects to rap’s hardcore pioneers of the ’80s, NWA.
The Documentary, the debut album from The Game, announces the arrival of the most significant West Coast gangsta rapper since Snoop Dogg. The Documentary resurrects the truth, spirit and hope of hardcore rap with guest spots from 50 Cent and Nate Dogg, and production from Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Just Blaze. Game’s beloved grandmother nicknamed him Game because he was always game for anything–basketball, running track, riding bikes, playing in the streets. Family problems caused him to be placed in a foster home from the third grade to the ninth grade. Soon after he was returned to his mother, one of his older brothers, Jevon, was shot and killed. The Game then started running behind another older brother, Big Fase 100, who had been taken in by the Cedar Block Piru Bloods, even though they grew up in a Crip neighborhood called Santana Block on Compton’s East Side. In 2000, The Game and his brother moved into the projects in a nearby city and took over its drug trade. Late on the night of October 1, 2001, Game was alone in their apartment when there was a knock on the door. Game became victim to a home invasion. This is was a wake up call for the Game. He sent his brother to buy new copies of all the classic rap albums, East Coast and West Coast Dre’s The Chronic, Big’s Ready To Die, Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt, Ice Cube’s Death Certificate, Snoop’s Doggystyle, 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, every Kool G Rap record, and anything from NWA. He studied them carefully over the next five months. In December 2001, he rapped for the first time.

My favorite music………………
Posted in Uncategorized on April 9, 2008 by tiffanty
I enjoy all genres of music from rap, R&B soul, rock, and sometimes jazz. I try to broaden my horizon when it comes to music, because CONSTANTLY listening to the same genre sometime just gets played out, so I have learn to adapt to different artist and like their style of music. Also, one of my favorite rappers is THE GAME; I favor him because when he raps-unlike other artist- he actually is telling a story of making point instead of rhyming the whole time. In addition sometimes his language can be vulgar and explicit, but hey…….. No ones perfect. I love Sara Baraielles because she has a talented rhythm and she can sing really well. Three other people I enjoy listening to on a daily bases are Anita Baker, John Legend, and Common they seem to be passionate about their music.
